Any Fall 2008 UCLA - MECN Program Applicants out there?

Are any of you starting to get anxious about the forthcoming decisions? We have another month or so yet to know, but I still want to know NOW! :innerconf ... Wanna share in the waiting process? Have you heard anything about the # of people they are accepting? Anything?

thanks!!! i just checked the website and my status was updated. i'm not sure when that happened because i looked late last night... must have happened while i was at work.

I also applied and have not heard anything besides what has been written here. It is torture waiting to learn the outcome and trying to figure out the logic of how acceptances are going out.

I spoke with someone in the admissions office earlier this week because I remembered they told us at the information session that acceptances would go out all at once March 1 via email. Since I did not hear, I was prepared for bad news. But evidently there was some delay in notifications (perhaps because the Dean passed away?) and I was told all notifications would go out in regular mail this week.

It is probably a good idea to check the Graduate Division website periodically- I know in general, servers update overnight. So any information/data entered today will likely show up sometime tomorrow.

May be time to consider Plan B. I unfortunately did not heed the warning and put all of my eggs in one basket:crying2:

Did you get a thick envelope in the mail? I sooooo am dreading a thin envelope. It is sad that a lot of time, effort and anticipation comes down to a simple yea or a nay.

I just got home. Nothing. I will be sitting in class tomorrow night until 10PM just worrying about this. :o

I received an acceptance letter to the Fall 2008 MECN program in the mail today - it came in a large manila envelope - enclosed was a University of California, Los Angeles School of Nursing folder with the letter and other info inside. I live pretty close to Westwood so it might have gotten to me faster than others. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you all! I'm actually likely not going to go to UCLA as I got accepted to another school that is my first choice so another spot is likely to open up.

I guess that's it. When you check your mailboxes tomorrow pray that there is a big brown envelope stuffed into it and not the thin envelope containing one page. Well, that's two people who received their acceptances today and the rest of us are waiting. The Graduate Division only states that my application has been received. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the rest us.

I also got my acceptance packet today! :D Like sunshineseas says it's a large non-descript manila colored envelope. My heart sank when I opened the mail box and found nothing and then when I looked across the ledge of the mailboxes I saw a packet with my name on it. I almost missed it! Inside it is a white UCLA folder with the acceptance letter and materials on financial aid and the nursing school curriculum booklet/overview. It says in the letter that we must let Shelli know of our decision to enroll for fall by April 4th. I live near UCLA campus too, just about half a mile away so I think you guys will receive yours by tomorrow, will keep my fingers crossed for you all. It has been a long journey for all of us...
