Any Fall 2008 UCLA - MECN Program Applicants out there?

Are any of you starting to get anxious about the forthcoming decisions? We have another month or so yet to know, but I still want to know NOW! :innerconf ... Wanna share in the waiting process? Have you heard anything about the # of people they are accepting? Anything?

I read on previous posts that some of the accepted people were planning to go to other schools but yet the wait list did not move at all. People have already received acceptance letters from other schools that seem to have been their first choice. I just find it hard to believe that people would give up their spot at this point if they have not done so already. Also, if for some reason people do decline the offer it may be too late for us because it may be too late for us to take the summer courses with you guys or probably sign up for housing at UCLA.

Although I try to be optimistic, I also want to be realistic.

You're very welcome. Actually it is not too late for you to take classes this summer. In fact, if you have a few pre-requisite courses to take this summer, I highly encourage you to take them. For example, if you still need Nursing 50 or Epi 100, you should take them this summer at UCLA or the course equivalence at any of the Cal State Universities.

If you don't get housing at UCLA, no problem. You might need to look around Santa Monica, West LA, or any of the co-ops for available vacancies. Because of our crazy schedule, I recommend sharing a room with another nursing student (common school schedule, study schedule, etc.).

Just an FYI for all you Facebook users if you search the term "UCLA MECN" there is a group for us UCLA'ers....it looks like it was started by the earlier cohorts.
