Hi there,
I'm not a COS student but am attending Institute of Technology in Redding and will be graduating the LVN program in April of 2013. Many of my classmates (and possibly myself) have been interested in attending the LVN-RN bridge program at COS next year. Good Luck to you and maybe we'll see you soon!

Just wanna say what's up COS?! My family is from that area! I was wondering how impacted the programs are up there? If they are any easier to get into than the ones in Sac?

Hi, I applied to COS LVN Fall 2012 but did not get in! I have a 4.0 in prereqs for BSN programs and I was denied admissions because I got my application in after the total number of admitted students was accepted:( I plan on applying again next year as I live close enough to commute but would love to move to Yreka anyways!
The program is not at all impacted, lol I did my application right before the deadline and almost made it in!
However if you are not familiar with the State of Jefferson I suggest you steer clear of the area since it's not quite like the rest of Cali!

Hi Kralinn,
I'm considering the IOT just to start sooner rather than waiting the 2-3 years for Shasta College! Do you plan on moving to Yreka or commuting from Redding? Did you get enough financial aid to cover the private tuition at IOT? I really want to go to a school with a BOGFW but am thinking it might be better to just get in school sooner instead!
Thanks
Hi Slaveheart,
I didn't want to wait to get into shasta college as well, that was the main reason that I decided to attend IOT. It is pricey unfortunately. Financial aid only covers a small portion so I believe I'll be paying close to $30,000. when said and done which will start coming due 6 months after graduation. If you need more information on attending IOT let me know:D
