Hi. I am hoping to enter the program this Fall, but have a big question. My BSN gpa was 3.8. I had 2 B's my whole program, the rest A's. I tell this so you understand I am a good student and strive to achieve good grades. For me, patho is one of my worst classes. I study, think I understand it, but don't test as well as I would like (got a B at the BSN level). I haven't decided whether to take Professor G (I have heard he is tough) or one of the online professors yet (better for my car and gas $$$). My question is: How do you recommend studying for this class? Anything different from other classes? Please PM me with any info regarding the MSN program at USF. Thanks fellow Bulls!!

Thank u

Yes, I just had questions and was wondering about things. I am currently midway in their program. Starting Clinicals this month.

Hi I am also in FL looking for a good FNP program. Is this program 'brick and mortar' or online? I am in North Florida but really would like to relocate anyways so it wouldn't be that big of deal.

It looks like the only requirements listed for admission are 3.0 gpa, a BSN, and a good FL license. So does that mean no GRE? How much RN experience and how many letters of reference are required..I didn't see anything listed about that at all. Sorry for so many questions lol. Thanks.

Thank you :)

Hey florida nurse, how is the np program at usf? How many days a week are classes usually? Are Clinicals easy or hard to set up? How has usf been to you? I would really like to apply but I truly haven't heard how a student actually feels about the program. I would love some insight. Thanks

how many years is the MSN FNP at USF ?

Thank you!

From the information session, it's 8 semesters, which is about 2 1/2 years. The FNP program accepts for spring and fall semesters.

is it online or face to face classes? how many classes per semester?..thank you for any info!

I am in FNP program at USF. I did this class online. Forgot the teacher's name but I think it is (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS). Got an A in the class. She recorded lectures as she was talking over power points. They were like 4h a week. The tests were fair.

Hello skazka, so all program is online? how is the schedule? is it first year only classes and second only clinicals? I am currently filling out the application for USF FNP track..which campus should I choose? sorry for all these questions..Thank you!!

First year you can take all classes online, there is an option to take some in the form of regular classroom class. But if your goal is to do it online as much as you can, you can take them online up to advanced diagnostics class. I believe it is like a year into the program doing it part time like majority of students. Then, you have to come to campus at least a few times per semester if not every week for lectures. When you start clinical part of the program, in Adult I i took it online, so i did not have to come to campus for lectures. But in Adult II there was no option for online class. Online classes fill in very fast, so might not be able to register for them even if they are offered. I don't know how it is going to be in the future though. It seems like they change from semester to semester.

The classes are only at the main campus-Tampa. Clinicals are everywere, on average I have to drive like 40-50 miles from my location and I live in Tampa. Clinicals are about 2 times/week.

The program itself is ok. Not perfect, but I can't compare it to others. I don't like USF bureaucracy and parking. The content is okay, teachers are good for the most part. Some are awasome:). I did not have horrible teachers:)

P.s. I had (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME - PLEASE DO NOT POST NAMES OF THOSE IN YOUR PROGRAM PER TOS) for patho, I just looked in my files. I liked that class, it was totally online with recorded lectures over PP.
