Please share your knowledge, tips and advice.
traumaRUs, MSN, APRN
I live near Peoria and am working on an MSN - if I can help, please let me know!
Thank you! I am starting out and getting my CNA cert at a CC SW sub of Chicago. Looking for all the advice I can handle.:roll
Hi, Im from a south suburb of chicago currently in the nursing program at Moraine Valley. Good Luck on your journey :)
I'm a Nurse Tech in Springfield, IL. Took the class 1 1/2 years ago. I was so nervous for clinicals but that was because I had a horrible teacher. I did dread them though. Now that I work at the hospital, I love it. I would not want to do it my entire life but it is really great experience. I feel I will be prepared when I go to nursing school in Fall '06. My job can be pretty demanding but I still love it. Feel free to ask me about anything.
I am a future nursing student working on my pre-reqs right now at the College of Lake County. I am curious to know how the competition is in other schools in illinois to get into the nursing program. What was enterance based on?
The school I will be attending is somewhat competitive because they only have 50 spots or so. I am fine though because I have early admission. The school I was originally planning on going to didn't seem that competitive either. This is all in central IL, so I dont know how it is up there in Chicago...
I am attending Shawnee Community College in Southern Illinois and will be staring the LPN program in 3 weeks. It was competitive to get in, only 45 spots, and over 200 applicants. Good Luck to you!:)

Hello. I've just made the decision to go into nursing (career change at the age of 43). I will be attending a summer course to become a CNA. Have you worked as a CNA yet? I live in Chicago and I'd appreciate any pointers. Thanks!
Hello all IL students! I'm currently taking pre-reqs at Illinois Central College in East Peoria, IL and plan to start Illinois State's BSN program in fall 2006.
I am also a CLC student!
Have you taken the NLN yet?
