Hello everyone,

I haven't posted much but I'm currently in the process of applying for the new graduate nursing boards for the Air Force. I graduate with my bachelors of nursing in May!! I thought it would be nice to connect and see if anyone else is applying for the new graduate board selection. My recruiter told me they meet and make decisions in July. If I get it, I'll be heading to COT in October!

Currently, the recruiter has me picking out bases that I would like to be selected at for NTP. I'm also awaiting a medical exam date. If anyone has any input on great places to start out my nursing career, let me know!

Thanks!

Looking forward to possibly meeting some of you at COT. I am OB....Any of you who got selected go OB?

Yay! Congrats everyone! I was also selected! Do you know where you're place yet? Any info on MEPS? This is so exciting. I wonder what's the fail items for meps.

Ah hh my recruiter didn't contact me today!

I hope that's not a bad sign

My recruiter said assignments should come out in the next few weeks. I don't have much info on MEPS but I'm wondering what the fail items are too! Congrats on getting selected!

Hey All! Congrats to the other selects! I actually had to clear MEPS already so let me know if you have any specific questions. It's really just a thorough H&P with hearing and eyesight testing (including color/depth perception) as well as an interview. Be prepared for labs (urine/blood) and a bunch of movement/flexibility tests (duck walk! lol)...oh, and more fingerprinting! :)

Also, as far as "fail" items... here is the regulation that is used for medical clearance (see link below...not sure if it's the most updated, but this version incorporates changes from 2011). I found it supremely helpful to review items pertinent to my own medical history (peace of mind). If you do peruse it, don't let it make you more nervous! In the military we like to say, "there are waivers for everything." :)

Thanks, jojo. That link was very helpful and put me more at ease.

Do you know jojo if they do a visual field test on the eyes?

Do you know jojo if they do a visual field exam on your eyes?

I'm a little late to posting since I'm in England, don't have service constantly, but I WAS SELECTED!!! After waiting to apply again from last year, I am SOO happy and thankful right now!! I can hardly believe results came out so fast, and I made it! It seems like most of us on here have made it, which is awesome!!! I'll keep you guys posted once I have my orders/COT date!! Hoping for October

Congrats to everyone!!

i still can't get ahold of my recruiter!! Called and emailed. Anyone wanna ask if I'm on the list? Lol
