Hello everyone,

I haven't posted much but I'm currently in the process of applying for the new graduate nursing boards for the Air Force. I graduate with my bachelors of nursing in May!! I thought it would be nice to connect and see if anyone else is applying for the new graduate board selection. My recruiter told me they meet and make decisions in July. If I get it, I'll be heading to COT in October!

Currently, the recruiter has me picking out bases that I would like to be selected at for NTP. I'm also awaiting a medical exam date. If anyone has any input on great places to start out my nursing career, let me know!

Thanks!

Hello All,

I am too applying for the 2016 FY but for experienced RN's. My recruiter just told me that she is putting me in for the July 14th selection board which I am really nervous about lol. I have 7.5 yrs ICU/CCU experience including working with the NAVY as a contractor and GS employee and also have my CCRN certification. I am not sure how many slots are open for this board for Critical Care but I hope there are a lot:) I have my interview tomorrow and should be going to MEPS in early July. Good luck to everyone!

I also applied for the AF NTP for October 2015. I just got my BSN in May 2015. I have been a LPN for

5 years working at corrections/ state corrections. I have a 3.15 GPA and 3 LOR's. I just had my CN interview

first week of june and waiting for the results of the AF Boards this July. I am excited, nervous and anxious at the

same time to know if I am selected or non-select. Keeping my fingers crossed, Goodluck everbody.

mcastill...did you typo your GPA? I'm not trying to be rude, but the minimum GPA to apply for NTP is 3.5 so if that is your correct GPA, you may want to talk with your recruiter.

Board meets in 9 days. Woo!!!!

Yes!!! So excited and anxious. Good luck to everyone!

Now just one week till boards, and maybe 3 till decisions!! This is the toughest part, waiting around with nothing to do for the application. It's all out of our hands now ( =

FOUR days until the board meets... aye, yi, yi!!!!

The big day is here!! And this is what we will all be thinking about all day. Sending positive vibes to all of you and let's hope we all get selected. Good luck!!

Good luck to you too!

I worked last night, and as soon as it hit midnight all I was thinking was "today they meet!!!" Can't wait for decisions, just hoping and praying for good news and no delays!

It's crazy to think that a decision has been made! Fingers crossed for no delays... good luck ya'll! Now let's try not to think about it for the next 3 weeks (yeah right!)...

Ya right, it's all I'll be thinking of. Luckily work plus vacations will keep me pretty busy
