Anxious to find spring 2016 placement

Published

Is anybody else really anxious to find out about Spring 2016 placement? I keep checking my email just in case they send anything even though I heard that we won't find out until Oct. I have GCC evenings, Gateway Evening or GCC weekends as my choices. I wish I knew which I am more likely to get or more details on each of those programs, since my friends that are nurses did day time traditional programs. I just know my life will change so much after school starts and I want to start getting organized for it ahead of time.

I'm at MCC morning. Is it 3 full days? How many hours per day?

Looks like it's mon & tues 8-10:30 and then 12-3.

Then Thursday 8-3.

But that's just from a person in block 1 now. It could change next semester. :)

Expect 3 full days I assume. If your taking the optional courses as well.

MCC morn and CGCC. I didn't get a spot today. :( Seems so close but so far away...

Congrats, Patty!

You still have a chance Joelle. I think there may be a few more placements. Keep us posted.;)

Thanks for the info Suec_83. I really appreciate it!

Joelle;

I just noticed another opening for MCC morning. Hope you get it!

All zeroes in the public Available column. Does that mean all schools are full? no more placements?

Public available is always at 0, I don't know why they include that at all. Basically it's saying, no spots are available to people that are not on the waitlist.

Public capacity is what they go off from the waitlist. If you click on the blue links on the word "capacity" and "available" it should explain it for you.

Edited to add: looks like they've added more explanation since the last time I clicked on those links so i may not be entirely correct in what I just said but check out those links, they should help.

I think there was a placement today.

The last column is at zero when they have all spots filled and it changes as people defer or decline the spot.

There was about ten placments for the fall so it's possible there will be more for spring.

The application status page doesn't say there was a placement -- do you know someone who was placed? Just curious. I know the site was down for a bit on Friday -- but when it came back up no new placement was listed...

Oh never mind -- it IS there -- it's just listed out of order... 1st, 2nd, 5th, 3rd, 4th. Gah. :(

Looks like there are quite a few spots for placement. Here's hoping they do one on Tuesday! I've added more to my list -- figure another 8 minutes drive won't kill me. :)
