Neosporin, triple antibiotic cream, whatever you want to call it...
Do you have it? I'm tired of the strange looks when I tell kids I don't have it. They don't get it. I hate having to tell them no since someone would consider it a medication. Then again, they don't understand that washing whatever it is with soap and water will do a great job also.

I have first aid/antiseptic spray but no cream. The kids are terrified of the spray thinking it will burn. I put it on a cotton ball and let them do it themselves so they can see it does not hurt.

You could maybe see if they might let you if you send around forms to go home to parents asking permission to apply ABX ointment to open wounds during school hours. Maybe with written consent you could start supplying. (well the school could)... daycares have to do this now for that and for sunscreen..
This allows parents to also warn of allergies--as I suppose a kid could be allergic to something like a particular sunscreen.

I have it and have a standing order for it, but rarely use it on students.
I think I am going to ask and see if we can get a standing order for it. We have one for lice, impetigo, pinkeye, etc...

No I do not keep it. They made us quit using it 5 years ago. The only thing we can use is saline solution and/or soap and water. Oh and Calamine but no Caladryl.

I have it and have a standing order for it. I only use it if a student specifically asks for it. I rarely use it on myself or my kids. I figure if you clean it well, your body will do the rest.

The health department does not allow us to apply any creams, oinments, etc. Therefore I don't keep it in my medical room. Sometimes I have smarty pants students come and ask me for some bacitracin or neosporin and when I tell them I don't there response is "well, whats the nurse here for then" UGH so annoying

Our school stocks it, but has to call the parents to come in and apply it, so other than children of teachers, it's never used.
