I am trying to budget out my monthly expenses and I am now spending 20 bucks a month instead of 10 (after 1 year it increases).
I truly have found no use of ANA even with the benefits we are supposed to get.
Only thing I like from them are the daily emails about regional/local news about how nurses are improving care/etc.
I have been with them for 1 1/2 years.... and haven't seen any benefit. What do you think??
Thanks

What type of benefits do they offer? I've never been a member and don't think I'm missing alot.

i think you just answered your own question? You've been paying them $10 dollars a month and all you've gotten were e-mails. Hmmmm.....

I was a member of ANA when I got out of school and found that they had very little to offer me as a bedside nurse. I get my updates from www.calnurses.org and www.nnoc.net (the folks that fought for and won staffing ratios in Ca).

As we say in Brooklyn, the ANA is about as useful as tits on a bull! JMHO and my NY $0.02!

That and a token'll get you on the subway. Yeah, I know, no more tokens. I refused to stop using them until I had to.

My .02, save your money. The ANA is a powerless joke, they have done nothing to improve working conditions for staff/bedside nurses.
thanks guys... i shall be deactivating myself shortly hehe

No offense, but it makes me really happy to hear that your national organization has sold you out and ripped you off as much as mine has.
do you mean ANA has ripped you off?

He's an MD so I think he's referring to the AMA.
