Lunch time, I come in to check tray on cute little old lady around 90. She is channel surfing with a frown on her face. Finally she hands me TV controller and says, "I can't seem to find Bill Burns dear, will you see if you can locate him". :chuckle :roll
I had a part time job at the Holiday Inn Parkway East when I was in college (many moons ago). WTAE isn't far from there; they used to all come into the bar for drinks after the show. Remember Don Gannon, too? And I remember that Keith Miller was so slow to pay his tab that they stopped letting him run one.
Did I not hear somewhere that Don Gannon was back doing reporting for some station in the Burgh? They told me he was fired in another city because of a drinking problem. He hit bottom and an old friend here gave him a job. I am not sure of this but I feel as if I heard that somewhere.Remember Don Gannon, too?

I don't know if he's back in Pittsburgh or not, since I don't live there anymore, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if he'd been fired in another city for his drinking problem. I worked at the Holiday Inn in the 80s- before it was common for bar owners to be held liable for accidents caused by patrons who had too much to drink in their establishment. I remember Don Gannon staggering out many nights, and words of concern among the wait and managerial staffs about him going out to drive in that condition. I think I'll google him and see what I find.
