American River College Spring 2016

Hello! I have been looking for a thread for ARC for Spring 2016 and have yet to see one so decided to start one myself! Anyone applying for ARC's ADN program for Spring 2016 that want to share any questions or concerns while we wait for acceptance letters? This is my 5th time applying and am really hoping this is my lucky semester!

My status remains Qualified still as of 10/9, no change in date

As far as the TEAS test goes, I don't think you have to retake it for ARC, if I'm correct I think only Sierra requires that you take it within one year of applying

Sierra requires taking the test annually. I don't know what the other schools require í ½í¸

I'm searching the Sierra nursing site and can't find where it states this. Can you direct me to where you saw this? I know that this is the first time they require TEAS as a prerequisite. In the past, they selected the cohort and allowed the test to be taken afterwards.

I searched the site a few weeks ago and it said you had to have a TEAS within a year, but now I can't find it...so maybe they changed it.

You might be right that they changed their requirements for TEAS. They didn't require it as a prerequisite prior applications. This upcoming application is more in sync with the other programs. So I think we are safe to believe that retaking the TEAS is not necessary, even for Sierra.

So, I don't want to get my hopes up, but when I was checking my status on ARC there was a new Hold on my account saying that I needed to fill out a supplemental registration form for spring 2016. I have not gone through the application process for Spring yet, only Fall, so maybe.....fingers crossed

I get that every semester prior to getting a registration date assigned for the upcoming semester. It is part of the Los Rios system and has nothing to do with the nursing program.

No problem. We're all just grabbing at straws at this point. I wish they would just tell us already!!

My status is still the same, and there has been no changes. I think this week we will find out for sure if we got accepted, because next week they have to send out the rejection letters (will be 8th week).. Good Luck to everyone, I keep praying...Also thank you everyone for participating on here, and keeping us all updated...

Does anyone know what the official start date for nursing school would be at ARC?
