Hello everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for everyone who is also applying to American River College for Fall 2016. We can help each other stay updated with any news, I know it definitely helps me through this long waiting period! We can also share knowledge if anyone has any questions about the application process! Good luck to all :)

I'm wondering, what's everyone's status for SCC? Mine is still "Received"

My SCC app still says "received" .

bfoster618, I took all of my classes within the Los Rios district and I definitely know I have enough points to make it in the pool. My application still says received, so I'm thinking they just haven't gotten around to processing all of the apps.

Thanks for the info! I am trying not to get stressed over it- but it's kind of hard not to when you see other people getting their status updates changed :)

I don't think SCC will change the status from "received" UNLESS you are accepted into the program. It will stay on "received" if you didn't get selected, unlike ARC which updates your status from received to qualified, to hopefully, accepted!

Regarding ARC's Application, my status has been "QUALIFIED" since 03/11/2016. But this may be because I'm a second time applicant and they have already received all my transcripts and other forms.

I called ARC just a few days ago, and they said 8 weeks after the application period has closed, applicants will know if they've been accepted or not. The application period ended on 02/29/2016.

Still no change for my application status from 3/4/16- still says "received". Anyone else still not changed? I realize there are about 3 weeks left before final decisions...

My application status still hasn't changed. Still says "received".

In SCC mine hasn't changed from received eather, but I do miss that new SOC class they are requesting now. :/

Congrats to all who are qualified to ARC! I also received my "qualified" status today, however, still nothing from SCC. Let the longest part of the wait begin!

Mine has changed to qualified as well. Yeah! So, I guess we have about 3 more weeks until they complete the process.
