American River College Fall 2016

Nursing Students School Programs

Hello everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for everyone who is also applying to American River College for Fall 2016. We can help each other stay updated with any news, I know it definitely helps me through this long waiting period! We can also share knowledge if anyone has any questions about the application process! Good luck to all :)

Did anyone else's email say anything about a points discrepancy??? I am trying to think about the possible ways that could have happened bc I double checked my points on my app before I sent it...I had exactly 70 points when I applied so if there was something wrong that means I lost points and wasn't even in the pool

My email pretty much said that I was qualified but not selected and according to their records, my application was complete and I tentatively meet all requirements.

And I just noticed that it's titled "points match qualified".

Yeah, my email was titled something different. I want to say it was points qualified with discrepancy... I will probably have to go talk to the counselors before next application period...the only thing making that difficult at this time is living in Los Angeles lol. I will most def. be speaking with someone though before the next round.

So I turned in my acceptance today! I can't wait for orientation to find out how to get all of the stuff needed for the first day!

Hi, just wanted to let you know when you have a point discrepancy they will tell you. Last semester when I did not get into ARC they emailed me saying I got 75 points not 80 like I had thought.

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted to ARCs ADN program! I'm the SNA president of ARCs Nursing Program and I just wanted to welcome you all to our community. We have amazing professors and clinical instructors. We also have the best reputation in the clinical setting with all of the hospitals we have rotations with. You will love it. :) I encourage you to 'like' the ARC SNA Facebook page to keep up to date with all of the events we have going on. You can also use that page to ask any questions about the program of get advice from our existing students. Here is the link: ARC SNA

I couldn't make it to the Orientation last week because I had my final exam that day, but I look forward to meeting all of you at the Welcome Event in August!

Hi I am currently in American river college. Can you guys help me answer my questioned. What math classes I need to take like do I need to take calculus?

Hi, you need to schedule an appointment with a counselor at ARC and they will tell you exactly the classes you need to take to apply for whichever program you want to apply to.

By the way, calculus was not required to enter the nursing program. It might be required for other specialties, that is why meeting with a counselor will be your best bet.

Hi kathyvandy. I just got accepted for fall 2018 semester at ARC. I was wondering if I could get some advises from you about the program. I have so many questions! hahah. First of all, Did you guys use HESI or ATI program? When I went to LVN school, we used ATI system by taking tests from them, and at the end of semester (or courses) we took like an exit exam to pass the course. Also, how was the first semester like? WOW, I have so many questions. sorry. hehe
