American River College Fall 2016

Published

Hello everyone! Thought I'd start a thread for everyone who is also applying to American River College for Fall 2016. We can help each other stay updated with any news, I know it definitely helps me through this long waiting period! We can also share knowledge if anyone has any questions about the application process! Good luck to all :)

Hello, just finished turning my apps in last week, now just waiting. Second time applying to ARC and first time applying to SCC.

Specializes in Hemodialysis.

First and Foremost....Good luck to all who are applying! I am a current 2nd Semester student at ARC so let me know if I can answer any questions.

I will say this for anyone who wants to know...i have read many posts about people wanting to compare stats like their GPA or Teas score, or what # their application number was, etc..... It makes not difference what so ever..... all that matters is that you get in the selection... so if you have 70 or more points, most likely, your application will qualify.

Happy waiting!

Congrats to all of you! !☺☺. I work as an LVN, and work part time at Alzheimer and Dementia facility, and subacute rehab. After this semester, only have 2 Anatomy s & Micro left. Can't wait to apply. I'll keep following your posts.

Hi, I was curious about how many seats were available in the 1st semester. Also, how many were waitlisted? Thank you.

Specializes in Hemodialysis.

There is usually 40 seats with 20 alternates chosen if students decide to go to other schools....but 1st semester right now has 44 students

Thank you for the quick response.

Hey Advent Murse! This is my second time with ARC and first time for SCC, Sierra, and Delta College in Stockton. I'm getting in somewhere this time lol hopefully :)

Thanks so much to all the people who share their knowledge :))

Hello everyone this is my first time applying to both American River and Sac City!!! I will also be applying to Delta and MJC. Good luck to everyone!!!!

Hey guys!

Those of you who applied to Sac City as well, did anyone get that notice they no longer accept sociology 300 and require different courses now instead??? Do you guys know when that change happened? Cause I did the SOC300 just for SCC nursing application and now they wouldn't even accept it anymore and my application is pretty much canceled?? This doesn't make any sense to me! So frustrated!

Hi Daryap, I was obsessing over the requirements for the SCC program since last March, and I only saw that Anthro 310 or SOC 321 were required for the humanities prereq. As to exactly when the change took place your guess would have to be as good as mine.

Hi everyone! Good luck to you all :) This is my first time applying to both ARC and SacState. It's nice to know we're not alone in this waiting process!
