Am I the only weird one that signs her name with RN at the end even when I'm not at work? It's like a strange habit and almost automatic LOL. I don't sign my full name at work all the time, I will usually do first initial, last name and then RN. Well I noticed today when I signed something outside of work I did that. Then the other day I noticed I did that on the little signature pad at Walmart LOL ROFL!
What in the world is wrong with me? :)

Creature of habit.
Once I started back to school I found myself putting my last name on EVERYTHING. It's like I'm back in Jr High.
I even signed my last name on my Mom's B-Day card. She said, "I think I know who you are by now".

I find myself wanting to do this when I sign the kids stuff. I have to remember not to add LPN to everything.
LOL I'm glad I'm not alone in this! I thought maybe the novelty would wear off after awhile, its been almost a year and a half since I became a nurse LOL but yup still doing it LOL!
while we are on the topic of strange behaviors...how about answering the call bell with "Mother/Baby, me speaking" instead of "may I help you" hahahaha!
I have answered the phone at home with "ER, "me" speaking"

Hah! I did that at my mum's house, picked up the phone and said "hello, ward ... me speaking" the woman on the other end was like "ahh... sorry, I've got the wrong number" to which I replied "i can put you back to the operator..."
I was half asleep at the time.

I would find my self using nursing shorthand, like the "c" with the line above, when writing notes for my daughter's school. My daughter was use to me being weird, but the teachers would have to get her to translate for them. I guess it shows how hard they drilled this stuff in to our heads at nursing school.
