So I'm home now after a long and super busy day. I make the mistake of checking my school email. There I find an email from a 2nd grade teacher, very cheerfully telling that they would like all classes field trip first aid bags and medications by 8:00 am. tomorrow because they have a field trip. Gaaaahhhhhh 😳 !!
No advanced notice....nothing !! If I know a few days in advance, then no problem, but I can't get the courtesy of a quick email. The start of the day is extremely busy, and so sorry but you may have to wait. Now mind you, I am constantly sending out reminders about at least 24 hours notice. Anybody else get this treatment ???

Well I wasn't even told about a field trip for today until i just happened across an email for all field trips in the county yesterday. It didn't even tell me which class in that grade was going so I had to track down the 3rd grade teachers to see who was going and figure out which students had meds to send. If I hadn't seen that email I'm not sure I would've even been told. So frustrating! So yes it's been a problem.
That and gym excuses. They give them to the gym teacher who doesn't share with me probably because he thinks I get them too but no so I look real stupid when a parent asks me how their child is doing with their broken whatever this week and I have no clue.
Or when the teacher keeps a dr statement for their attendance records and I call the parent asking if their child has been there yet for some issue and make a parent mad.

We found out about a field trip yesterday when they announced all students going on the field trip to report to the bus circle! I hopped in the golf cart and raced out there with my "conditions" book and yelled, "Who on earth set this up and didn't notify us???" My temper was on full display.
So while they were anxious to get on the bus, I made them all wait while I compared the trip list to my book. I sent one girl back to her classroom to retrieve her epi-pen that she left there, and another to get his inhaler.
I have a feeling we'll be notified next time.

Golf cart??? I'd like to have a golf cart !!!
It was a donation to the school--specifically the clinic. It has been a lilfesaver, especially since I've been dx with RA. No way could I be running across campus pushing a wheelchair anymore.

Found out about an out of state FT to the national FFA convention on FB the morning they were on the way to Houston airport. Some days all I can say is "Really!?"
