Alvin Community College ADN-Fall 2017

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Is anyone applying to ACC ADN program for Fall 2017?

I know that at the end of the day it comes down to type of student and ultimately nurse everyone is, but a school that truly prepares one is big part of the end result. With that said I'm also considering all options available in the area.

Penalized? How so? To my knowledge, there is no penalty. You just give up your seat. Oh and congrats on your acceptance to COM! Kudos!

You mean 10 days to cancel and return everything ? Do you get penalized for turning n

down San Jac at this point ?

The wait is seriously crazy. College of the Mainland's deadline was may 15 and they sent out acceptances yesterday ! I was accepted by the way and I am also waiting for Alvin and UT.

OMG DYINGGGGGG

I really want to know! This is torture LOL. Solidarity with all of you. If they extend it again I will be so upset!

I really hope they don't make us wait until next week, like just pleeeease AT LEAST BY FRIDAY!

I know. I'm just telling myself June 2 so I don't get my hopes up. I thought I was decided on WCJC but I feel like they don't have it together. At Alvin I know once you accept your spot you get ALL THE INFO you need for everything to do before school starts. At Wharton they had us do our fingerprints and get blue cards (which I already had), and I haven't heard anything since. I'm trying to plan a trip as well, and they have no clue on orientation date yet. So now I'm leaning back toward Alvin because I know they're organized...I just have trouble not know ANYTHING and feel like I'm in the dark with Wharton:(

I feel your pain. HCC is the same way. I have 2 toddlers so it would be nice if all the schools were like Alvin and gave us all the info up front.

When I checked my email I had an email for an update on here and I read "alvin community colleg" not knowing it was from allnurses and my heart nearly beat out of my chest! Lol

I have been patient so far but geez! It's starting to get to me!

That's been my whole life every time I get an Alvin Update from All Nurses lol!

Lol!!! I guess I'm joining the club!!!

Just did it again!

...and I'm here again, too. Just sittin' at the bar at Club Compulsive. Hahahahahah!!!

Blah I'm really weighing my options. Ive been accepted at COM and it's 10k and a 40 minute drive for me. If i got into Alvin it is a 40 minute drive as well, but 7,900$. Alvin's nclex pass rates have been in the high 90% with 100% a few years ago ! They really are great. COM was 88% last year.......
