Is anyone applying to ACC ADN program for Fall 2017?

Alvin is a 50min drive for me. So is San Jac Central.
Hey, does anyone know if Alvin's ADN program is straight through...or do they have summers off? I know San Jac is pretty much continuous, with a December break.

I heard it's cause com lets students slide and if they don't pass the nclex the first time they pass it the second time. Alvin don't play. They hold students up to a higher standard and that's why they are so respected. Alvin is a harder program than com
Alvin has summers off
That's not to say com has a bad program though! I am going there as well if alvin does not accept me.

Really?!?! Harder program? I didn't know that.
One of my really good friends just finished her first semester in alvins program and she said she nearly died lol. But yes from what I hear, alvin expects more out of their students and it is harder
Yeah, maybe that's why they have such a great success rate. I'm up for the challenge, I just really wish they would DO THIS THING! Anyways, let's hope for tomorrow y'all.
Crossing my fingers. Thursday is the day!
Good morning everyone. Have a great day today!

So I just got a rejection from Alvin. Funny considering UTMB offered me a spot in the program. Alvin also did not calculate my GPA correctly, said I was missing courses, and did not account for my two graduate degrees. Best of luck to the rest of you.

I also was rejected, didn't even make alternate list when I meet the 3.7 GPA and hesi score of 90 but was missing anatomy II that made the difference.

ACCEPTANCE EMAILS ARE OUT! So bummed to say I didn't get in. While my Hesi scores and GPA are higher than both accepted and wait listed applicants, I have less competed credit hours than those accepted and therefore didn't make the cut. Particularly disappointed because after attending San Jac's orientation, I have little faith in the organization and approaches to their program.
Congrats to all who make it into Alvin!
