That is awesome, but not for me. I paid the monthly rate yesterday. Now to figure out how to change name color and the nice perks of it all.

Do I need to let my current membership expire (expires May 10) before paying for the upgrade or if I pay for the full year, will I get credit for the 3 weeks left on the old membership?
Let it expire ... it's a different subscription

One of the reasons I stopped paying for premium membership was that while it was supposed to be an ad-free experience, it was not. And what exactly is "Ad-light."? You still get ads but only the ones the forum ownership deems most important? Or most profitable?

I have tried to upgrade my account and am having a problem paying for it. I stopped using PayPal quite a long time ago, long story made short my account was compromised not once but twice and I no longer trust them with my financial information.
Now when I try to pay for the annual plan using a credit card I get this message: You cannot use an e-mail address or card number that belongs to an existing PayPal account. If you have a PayPal account, please log in. If you don't, please change the e-mail address or card number and try again.
This is despite the fact that I closed the PayPal account associated with that email address. That is also the email account I use for AN. My question is if I pay using an alternate email address will it affect my ability to upgrade my AN account since the email I would be using is not associated with my AN account?
Yes, it should be ok to use a different email address. Let us know when transaction is complete so we can check.

You will only see 1-2 Google Adsense ads max per page.

Thanks, Joe! That worked. My profile is now showing up with the pro membership badge. If anybody on the admin team needs a copy of the receipt for whatever reason feel free to contact me and I will provide it.

We're glad that worked for you.

I found the old membership didn't do anything for mobile, which is almost exclusively the way I use AN. Will this one? And were all of the old memberships canceled? I just looked yesterday and see I had another month.
