I want to know what are the staff's rights when it comes to being hit constantly by a man that is fully alert and oriented with no mental DX. He has hit, kicked and slap CNAs and nurses alike....our management response to this: nothing!!!! They won't even talk to him. We have no back up from management. This man is just plain ole mean and knows he can get away with it. No one wants to
A veil bed??? Im sure those arent't legal anywhere.
I doubt they would still make and sell them then? Or that I still use them at least once a month on my med-surg floor!!
I have never seen one of these beds in my life, It would've been great for a resident where I used to work who used to have such bad tremors she'd manage to get from the middle of 2 hospital beds next to each other, get over the bed-rails and end up on the floor. We actually had meetings regularly about her and what we could do to keep her safe.

I hadn't seen one, or even mittens for that matter, until I worked at my 2nd hospital. They are wonderful for patient safety IMO!
