Can't answer your question specifically but you could probably find out on line what pay is. Also I think there is a St. Peter's Hospital. And you can google Cohoes and there should be a site for it, city, village? Then there is usually a list of services offered there or nearby, as in churches, businesses, healthcare to click on.
I grew up in Schenectady and left in 1971...lots of changes when I visit family. Check out the web and go on a "fact-finding visit" to see if it's what you really want.

I would go to salary.com and find some general parameters for the pay in that general area.

I'm not sure what experienced RNs are making at AMC, since I interviewed this winter as a new grad. New grads make between $20 and $22/hour in this area - but that is before shift differential. Most of us new grads in my class are working 12-hour nights after orientation.
Here are some websites of hospitals in the area. They all have job openings listed on their websites.
St. Mary's in Troy: www.setonhealth.org (Best starting salary for new grads and best benefit package in the area!)
Samaritan in Troy and Albany Memorial: www.nehealth.com
St. Peter's in Albany: www.stpetershealthcare.org
Albany Med: www.amc.edu
Ellis Hospital in Schenectady: www.ellishospital.org (Will soon be combining with St. Clare's. I didn't interview at Ellis so I don't know anything about them.)
Best of luck!
