Aiken Tech Fall 2014 hopefuls!!

Has anyone applied for the ADN program at Aiken Tech? I know the deadline for applications isn't until May 30th but I have had my paperwork ready and submitted it today and the suspense is killing me ALREADY!! Just wanted to see if anyone else was waiting to get in and wanted to see how many points others had, their GPA and teas scores.

I wanted to, but I won't be able to take that much time off of work.

I've heard of people working through nursing school, but it's kind of uncommon from what I hear because the program is so demanding. I'm kind of hoping that the difficulty is a little overhyped, and my standard school motivation will do me just as much good as all the prereqs. How many hours a week are you going to have to work Nick?

Gotta have time to sleep too, haha. Do you work weekends? Also, do you guys know what days classes mainly are? Is it Monday to Thursday, or is it Monday to Friday?

Fortunately, I will not be working. My husband is working and in school; I don't know how he does it. My focus for the next two years will be entirely family and school.

Earlier I looked at the syllabus for the two classes we will be taking in the fall and the first class is on Mondays and Tuesdays and the second class is only on Tuesdays. I hope that doesn't change!

That would be nice with that class schedule. I'm sure it will be more than Monday and tue though, but we can hope!

im going to be using the military GI bill for school, and my wife is working part time and going to school fulltime also. I'm hoping my GI bill covers most everything and she doesn't need to work much. She is doing all that and breastfeeding too at te same time. I don't know how she does it either sometimes!

That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I originally expected to be in school mon-fri, so hearing that it's less is a relief

Congo1986, I won't be working either, I will be quitting my current job. I plan on finding a part time job somewhere though, but I wont be working a lot of hours.

Fundamentals of Nursing - Theory is Monday and Tuesday from 9 - 11 and Labs are Wednesday and Thursday from 9 - 12.

Pharm Basics - is Tuesday from 1 to 3 so far.

If u go online and log in like your checking your email. On the right hand side, it will say register. If u click on that and choose fall 2014 and choose nursing it will show u the schedule. I think it's 9am-11am on mon and Tues and then we have to go back on Tues from like 1-3 or something like that. And on Wed and Thurs there is a lab/clinical from 9am-12pm. U can double check the times because I have them written down but they r in my car.

Thanks for the helpful info! I knew just mon and tues sounded too good to be true. Lol I'm just trying to get prepared now so I can work it out with my family to watch my daughter.
