  1. lol, all I see in this clip is less competition and possibly higher pay. I've had way more stress in other jobs. I've worked 7 days a week, 12 hour shift for MONTHS in Iraq with no days off... This isn't close to as bad. If u can't take the heat, go get an easy job. It's called intestinal fortitude, and doesn't sound like you have it. I'm willing to work hard for good pay, as are many other. Step aside...
  2. I was lucky, I found someone selling every single book (minus the non required books) for 400 on craigslist.
  3. Im not sure. I think that we will not be doing clinicals the first semester. I hope we find out for certain what books we will need tomorrow. I hate being late too, but this stuff is practically beyond our control this time
  4. Dont worry too much, I asked Ms. Farmer about being late. She told me that if you run late, as long as they get everything before clinicals start that you should be fine. I was worried too, because I did everything at the VA hospital, and had no idea how slow they would be.
  5. Hope you were all able to make your deadlines, and it seems you were. Looking forward to seeing you all at orientation tomorrow, dont forget to bring your medical records with you also! This is going to be fun, my wife is taking 5 classes including chemistry for the BSN program here in Augusta this semester too, and our 3 month old wants to get up to feed at all hours of the night still. I hope this first semester is the easiest one like I keep hearing. Either way, going to be pushing as hard as I can. See you tomorrow!
  6. Has anyone figured out how to take the drug test? Certifiedprofile says to take my email to department administrator?
  7. That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I originally expected to be in school mon-fri, so hearing that it's less is a relief
  8. That would be nice with that class schedule. I'm sure it will be more than Monday and tue though, but we can hope! im going to be using the military GI bill for school, and my wife is working part time and going to school fulltime also. I'm hoping my GI bill covers most everything and she doesn't need to work much. She is doing all that and breastfeeding too at te same time. I don't know how she does it either sometimes!
  9. Gotta have time to sleep too, haha. Do you work weekends? Also, do you guys know what days classes mainly are? Is it Monday to Thursday, or is it Monday to Friday?
  10. I've heard of people working through nursing school, but it's kind of uncommon from what I hear because the program is so demanding. I'm kind of hoping that the difficulty is a little overhyped, and my standard school motivation will do me just as much good as all the prereqs. How many hours a week are you going to have to work Nick?
  11. That's my same fear Jesykahope. I hope I can find a good balance between school, studying and family.
  12. Thanks! Really excited and nervous. I have a 2 year old and a 2 month old at home, and a very supportive wife. We can do this! But man, what's up with this grading scale? Wow
  13. I know I'm kinda late in joining in this convo, but I just received my acceptance letter for fall 2014 too! Very excited! Now I have to kick into high gear again with all of these things we all have to do. Look forward to meeting you all!
