Has anyone applied for the ADN program at Aiken Tech? I know the deadline for applications isn't until May 30th but I have had my paperwork ready and submitted it today and the suspense is killing me ALREADY!! Just wanted to see if anyone else was waiting to get in and wanted to see how many points others had, their GPA and teas scores.

I am applying for the fall semester too! I'm so nervous, and ready to get this over with! I take my teas like a week before the deadline so I'm really trying to prepare for it. If I make a's in reading and math I will have a total of 34 points because I won't be taking anatomy II until after the deadline. My gpa is a 4.0. How many points do you have? And how was the teas test? I hope we both get in!
Oh that's great!!! I have seen a lot of people on all nurses post that they got in with 34 points. The TEAS isn't bad at all. I used the ATI TEAS study guide and it helped me prepare for what to expect. I ended up with 4 points on one section and 3 on the other bcuz I was running out of time and had to go find the lady to swap scratch paper with me :) but I spoke to my academic counselor and she told me not to worry about retaking it because she said she tells everyone if you're within 10 points of the max you can get, then you will be fine. I certainly hope she is right!! Anyways, I have taken all of my classes and have 38 points. I can't remember if they asked for my cumulative GPA or the GPA for my prerequisites but my GPA is pretty good. I had a cumulative GPA of 3.6 at my old college and a 4.0 at the one before that. But hopefully it will be good enough to get in. They only use the GPA if there is a tie so I'm crossing my fingers! Good luck, I certainly hope you get in!

Wow, that's great!! I'm sure you will get in!!! :) I also am using that ATI manual so hopefully it works for me too! Did they tell you when they should be sending acceptance letters out?
No, I am not sure when we will get acceptance letters. I know from looking at previous threads it was about mid July.
Gosh, the wait is going to kill me once I turn mine in. When you took the TEAS did you take it at aiken? And if so, did you know your results immediately after?

Hi everyone, I'm applying for the Fall semester as well, I'm just waiting for my grades to post to webadvisor so that I can attach my transcript before turning in my application.
I'm applying with 36 points and a 4.0 GPA. And I'm taking Micro over the summer just in case I need the extra points to apply for the Spring semester.
The TEAS wasn't too bad, much harder than the study guide though, I got 4 points in math and 3 in reading. You take the TEAS in the testing center, you have to pay for it before testing, and you get your results right then along with a print out.
Yes, they give you the results of your TEAS exam as soon as you are finished. I took my TEAS at Aiken Tech as well. Nickh I'm glad you joined the thread and wish you the best. Hope you can get in for the Fall Semester and not have to wait until Spring. Good luck! I feel like you should still do well with 36 points. Hope they get out acceptance faster this year. I don't know what I will do until Mid July- go crazy I guess LOL.
Yeah, I'm going crazy waiting already. I'm waiting for one grade to post to advisor now, my Algebra grade posted today.
Good luck to you as well, with 38 points, if I'm accepted then I know that you will be as well.
Thanks!! I noticed that the teas has four sections but the nursing program only gives points for reading and math...were you both required to take all four sections or just reading and math?
You absolutely have to go through all four, but you don't have to answer the questions correctly. I played a bit and selected all A's as the answer to the science questions and randomly selected the answers to the English, I got a better score with the random.
I'm sure that you guessed not to do that with the reading and math section though.
They told me when I took mine, that if you don't submit all four sections, then you won't receive any grades and will have to pay and take it again.
Also, the tests were harder than I expected, it was harder than the ATI practice tests. The worst part was the timer, and not being able to use a calculator. But overall it wasn't too bad.
