at what age did you start studying nursing?

from what i have seen, a lot of us here are parents or in their 30s. so i was quite curious.

for me, i'm 17 gong 18. i'm only 9 months into my nursing course. in singapore, almost majority of the nurses start studying at 17 or 18 years old.

Starting @ 26 and graduating @ 27...

I graduated High School in 2003, took 1yr off to work, 2004 started 3yrs of prereq. courses at the age of 19-22, Spring 2007 found out I didn't get accepted into the nrsing program that I applied to b/c my grades weren't that good, applied to many programs &did ALOT of research Summer Fall &Winter 2007.Found out I got accepted into a nrsing program at a private university around Feb. &now I am leaving in 1 month to start the nrsing program. I will be graduating a couple weeks before I turn 26. Finally my dreams are coming!!!Oh& to top it all off I just saw a concert of my favorite 80's/90's metal hair band Poison &Sebastian Bach:rckn: another one of my dreams.

I applied at 19, was accepted into the program at 20, and I am now 21. :stdnrsrck:

I started part time nights when I was almost 28 years old...I am now 32. Been going just over 4 years and I have 3 classes left! Did all my pre-req's first and now I am focusing on NS!

started pre reqs at 18... started nursing school at 20. Will graduate when Im 22!

Got my first Bachelors at 21, started remaining pre-reqs for Nursing school at 28 after my son was born, and starting nursing school at 30, its an Accelerated BSN program, so I'll be done when I'm 31. Crazy!

I started LPN school a month before I turned 38 and graduated 2 months after turning 39.

I start back to school in September to take a couple of pre-reqs I need to do before I can apply to the LPN to RN bridge program.

I went into the Army out of high school (at age 18)- after getting out 4 years later, went to college (halted with 1 course short of my AA) - got married, had a baby... THEN decided to go to nursing school. I was 27 when I started.

started prereqs at 27 start the RN program in April this year age 29.

I realize this post is old - but what part of Washington state? I went to school there - in Port Angeles. A fantastic school - you should be done by now... if it was an ADN program....

started at 52 will graduate at 55 next may. Good lord i am old.
