After waiting for gruesome 4 weeks, I finally received my nclex-pn results today and I FAILED again for the 2nd time :o Iam surprised, I thought I did ok than the first time. Now Im even more hesitant to take it again, Iam developing nclex fears and maybe I should just change career. I guess nursing is not for me. Goodluck you guys and thanks for evrything :crying2:

I'm sorry to hear that. I know that you're discouraged, but please don't give up. Best wishes.

What did you use to help you prepare for the exam? Were you doing practice questions well in advance of the exam? Any review books?

Please tell us what you were using, then perhaps we can offer some guidance. Please don't give up, you have already successfully made it thru school. Some people just do better on these types of exams than others. :)

But there are ways around that for you, also.

Hi Suzanne, Hi Forum,

Thanks for the encouragement and replies. The first time Ive failed I just used the Saunder's NclexPn review book, this time I used the Lippincott's CD and Mosby's and Nclex-Pn Incredibly Easy book and still failed. Can you recommend any review course or any book or materials I can use or enrolled to? On my second nclex exam, I have the majority of questions on delegations and prioritizations which I didnt find in any of those books that I have mentioned, dunno where to find those. Iam losing confidence on myself and really depressed right now, I feel ashamed to my family and friends that I keep failing this thing, thats why I keep thinking that maybe nursing is not for me. :o

Hey now, NCLEX is not what makes a nurse a good one. It is something you need to become one but you might be a great nurse and take three times to pass it. Please don't give up yet?!

sbed85,

I'm sorry to hear the news. But please don't give up if nursing is what you want to do.

We all want to see you pass! :icon_hug:

Anybody can share which materials or review course I should use? I graduated 08/04, took the first Nclex-pn on 12/04 and failed in 205 questions, took the second Nclex-pn this month and failed again in 96 questions. I am really getting very depressed about it, Iam reading postings and thread in the forum for encouragement and review tips but everyone seems to be having different opinions on everything what to study and what to do, some said Saunders is good, some Mosby, some Kaplan, some Hurst, some Lippincott etc etc. And I just don't know which one and I am getting more and more confused. I dont even know if Kaplan or Hurst review has a review course for PN, I heard its for RN only. I love nursing and it just seems that it is not for me from keep failing the boards, please help. Thanks again and sorry for bothering you guys.

You're not bothering anybody ! :flowersfo Please don't give up. I have a hard time with multiple choice as well. It isn't that I don't know the material..I just always second guess myself and say to myself that my choice can't possibly be right because its too easy. I've failed many tests this way. When you study do you go to the answer section after answering every question? That could be your problem too. You need to go all the way through your study guide FIRST..then look at the answers. Another thing I tend to do wrong too. :)

Just some food for thought.
