  1. Hello all, Im from Southern CA. Finally recently passed my Nclex for the third time, went to look for work the next day, got 4 offers from diff places. Accepted one closer to my house, rate is $20/hr. and starting my first day today. Excited to work what I always wanted to do. Good luck to all others.
  2. Thank you all again for the replies and sweet greetings! I will be starting to work as an LVN tomorrow, went to apply for jobs the whole day today and yesterday and finally got three offers that Iam most interested. I accepted the best one today and will start my orientation tomorrow, the best part is, the place is located 2 minutes away from my house and has the best start rate. I will work for at least a year to gain experience then maybe go back to school to pursue RN afterwards. THANK U ALL FOR EVERYTHING, God bless u!! RGarcia, LVN
  3. Hello All, THIRD TRY IS A CHARM, finally!!! I am so ecstatic and still can't believe it, after failing twice, I HAVE PASSED my Nclex-Pn, received the results in the mail today after a month of torture waiting. I would like to thank YOU ALL for all the support, encouragement, prayers and comforting thoughts you all shared with me during my times of uncertainties, and almost giving up. Thanks also SUZZANNE for all the tips and study plan you gave me. I am a licensed nurse now and just really happy and still shocked. I have 4 interviews tomorrow and can't wait to work and do the thing I love to do. To those who are gonna take nclex and those who already took and failed, don't lose hope, I made it you can too. God is great! Now excuse me you guys, I have some celebrating to do.. he he he. THANKS AGAIN YOU ALL!! Rommel G, LVN :)
  4. Hello fellow nurses, Iam reading JasmineG's thread and I am kinda nervous, I just hope really that when you received those brochures on the mail for a review seminar before you even know your results doesnt mean that you fail. This is my third nclex-pn try which I took Aug.12 and still has not received the results yet, but already received brochures from the mail. Does anybody here ever call these review classes's number and ask if they knew anything about what it means when they got your infos and send the brochures? I just hope more people from this site will reply and tell us that this means nothing whether you fail or not. From my experience during my first and second try, I have received brochures from these review companies before I knew my results and I failed, now Iam still waiting for my results from my third try and I have already received couple of thems. Im really getting very worried again on top of not being confident on my test and not being able to answer the last question right. First try is 205 and failed, 2nd try is 96 and failed, third try is 205 and still waitin for the result. Thanks.
  5. Hi all, Took my Nclex-pn this morning for my third time and I almost wanna cry while taking it, it seems that most of the materials I have studied was not there but instead harder questions that I have never heard of. I also felt a sudden mental block when I got a lot of diseases which I know but can't figure it out which are those from the questions. Iam very worried again and depressed that I am very unsure if I did good or not this time, I really don't know, I have tried my best. I was waiting to stop at 85 but it keeps going on and finish the max number of 205 questions, Thanks for everyone who wishes me luck and prayed for me, that mean a lot to me. Now next is the torture and agonizing wait for the result , CA takes forever to post results(3 to 6 weeks). All I wish is a miracle that I will pass this time. Take care u all.
  6. Tomorrow is the big day and Iam already feels sick to my stomach. Though it's embarrasing to share that this is my third time taking the nclex-pn, I still dont mind, sometimes venting feelings here on the forum helps you feels a little better from moral support and advice from people like you. I did better on my first try than the second time I took it(which I study more), now Iam worried that I will also fail the third time, I wonder when could I get that feeling of passing it and folks like you are congratulating me too like most test takers here who passed the first try or second the most. I have few hours left to review and I just hope that I can pass this time, it's been so frustrating that I keep failing this and dont know whats wrong with me. Please say a little prayer for me and thanks again for all your support and feedback.
  7. Good Luck Annie, Iam sure you will be just fine, I'll be takin mine this Friday and as you said to use base knowledge, positive outlook, etc. I would add my confidence, faith and prayers. Good luck!
  8. Hi Nursing 101, Thanks for the advice and feedback. Take care.
  9. Hi Siri, Thanks for the advice, I appreciate your feedback, take care.
  10. Hi Forum, The big day is this Friday(8/12) and am already anxious, I just feel that I will never be ready. I will be taking my Nclex-PN for the third time and still very not confident about it. I am taking the NCSBN online and Iam only scoring in the 40-50% range on the practice questions, I also took a three day live review class couple of weeks ago and feels like I already lost the informations that was being taught. Iam doing the cd Saunders too and scoring low as well , I feel like canceling the test and maybe reschedule in a few weeks again instead so maybe I can study more, but the more I push it to later dates the more Iam getting stressed. I really want to just get over it as Iam getting restless daily as the exam day is getting more closer. Sometimes when I score so low on practice questions, I would stop because I feel already so depressed that I am not doing well. What is wrong with me, majority of my classmates already passed and working fore 8 months already(I graduated 8/04) and Iam still here desperately trying to pass this boards for the 3RD TIME!!! Any words of advice is appreciated. Thanks.
  11. Iam taking my Nclex Pn Aug 10 for the 3rd time and already have the fear of taking it again, I feel like Iam not ready yet, nervous and anxious that I will fail it again, I feel that Iam dumb to keep failing them.
  12. Congratz Sheryl, I will be taking my Nclex-Pn for the 3RD time in August, I almost gave up not to do Nursing but I guess I still have a chance, I hope I can do it this time, enjoy and cheers again!
  13. Hi, Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate your insight on this. People says Hurst is good and others says NCSBN is too, I just wish I have money for both so I can try both of them. I guess I will just decide on one plus the Saunders book and hope I can do it this time after trying it twice. Thanks again. Take care.
  14. Hi all, I just want to ask you all if what advice can you give me regarding an online review, Iam thinking about Hurst or NCSBN which I always hear good things from the Nclex forum, does anyone knows which one has more in-depth review on delegation, prioritization and pt teaching? These are the questions I have been bombarded from my previous board exams. I am thinking to retake my Nclex-PN in a couple of months or less, this is my third time taking it and am just very helpless. Dunno what's wrong with me for keep failin them, Iam getting fears now of taking it again as I always think I will just fail it again, any suggestions on a study plan I should changed? Any feedback on this and any other materials or advice I should do and try is highly appreciated. Thanks.
