Well the paperwork and interview are finished and I'm just waiting to see if I get in. Just wanted to start this thread for others in the Nov 2011 boards and see who the competition is. ;) Good luck to everyone.

Oh, a quick rundown on me. I'm 33 with 2 years ICU, ER, and Supervisor experience graduating with my BSN in May 2012. I'm seeking anykind of commissioning but hopefully a flight or ICU position. I'm an active individual so not really worried about the PT, just ready to get going serving my country.

how many COT dates are scheduled thru the year? I have heard of people being placed on alternate COT lists. Also, that the summer COT dates are meant for the medical students, etc...and it is crazy during the summer.

From what I have heard, the best times to get a COT date is in Jan or the Spring date.

What have ya'll heard?

There are COT classes starting in January, February, May, July, and August. The classes are mixed with different areas of service: RN, chaplain, MD, etc...

There are plenty of COT class dates. This link should help you out. ttp://www.au.af.mil/au/holmcenter/OTS/COT-RCOT/InboundCOTTrainees.asp . Personally I will prefer to go on January but I will be happy with just being selected for now.

Even if I am applying for the, I think/believe, it is the february board selection, will I pick from those dates for FY12?? I am confused! As long as there is an opening, I suppose??

So, I just found out that the official release date for my board is December 16, 2011.....More waiting...NOOOOOOOOOOO....I just hope to get the good news after this. For now I just have to wait, wait, and wait....

OH NO!!!!!!! Are you talking about the fully qualified November board? I was really looking forward to hearing something on Friday. This wait is going to be the death of me:(

I am taking about fully qualified boards. According to my recruiter the board meets from Nov 28-Dec 02 and the results will be out by December. This is killing me:crying2:

Oh no! Really, they pushed the date back again? Did your recruiter tell you that, because mine has not been in touch-not surprising though...man, how do they expect you to be ready to go if you get selected? Frustrating!

I do not think this is the COT class boards for nurses, doctors, JAG, and chaplains. That sounds like the Military Sciences Course. Everything my recruiter has told me is that we should start hearing around Friday.

Whew!!!!! I think I will lose my mind if I have to wait until December to find out if I was selected or not. However, I am joining the military so I guess I'll have to HURRY UP AND WAIT:)

i am applying to cot (msc) for a health services administrator position so that might be the difference. i hope you are right and that everyone of you receives the good news this friday. unfortunate i still have to wait till december.
