AF Nov 2011 Boards

Published

Well the paperwork and interview are finished and I'm just waiting to see if I get in. Just wanted to start this thread for others in the Nov 2011 boards and see who the competition is. ;) Good luck to everyone.

Oh, a quick rundown on me. I'm 33 with 2 years ICU, ER, and Supervisor experience graduating with my BSN in May 2012. I'm seeking anykind of commissioning but hopefully a flight or ICU position. I'm an active individual so not really worried about the PT, just ready to get going serving my country.

i figured that this would happen. so, hopefully we find out before Christmas. I would like enough of a heads up walking into the new year.

so, are you trying to go for the jan9th COT date?

If it is the Military Sciences Course, then great. Do they really seperate JAG, chaplains, nurse, docs from this group? I really dont understand how they group people for COT

jjtrn,

yes, i will love to get selected for the jan 9 2011 but my recruiter told me that it looks like a long shot at this point because of the short time we have to get ready. to be honest at this time i will be happy with just making the cut. are you also applying for the health administration afsc (air force specialty code)?

By AFSC, do you mean nursing? My specialty will be ER.

Yes,

That is what I mean with that. I am dying to get the results. This waiting is killing me. I just hope that we get good news.

I started the process around 20 months ago. With some paper work 'expiring", and me filling something out incorrectly, the delays have been painful. Plus, working with a recruiter who is streched thin like the old gumby character didnt help matters.

so, i too, hope for the results this week. even if it is a big fat "no" so that i can move on.

my family and I are excited about serving in the AF. We are just literally fatiqued with the wait.

OMG!!! 20 months!! That is insane….As a former Air Force Active duty recruiter (enlisted), I knew that the process was going to be long so I started to get information before contacting the Health Services Recruiter. It only took me 3 months to get everything together. For me the worst part was taking the GMAT. I took the test twice because my initial score was horrible. I still don’t have an stellar GMAT score but is way better than my previous one. I just hope that is good enough to get me back into active duty. I am also desperate to find the results. I am staying positive and hope that I can make it but this dreaded waiting period is killing me.

Ok all my fellow November boards peeps:) I'm so excited, tomorrow is the day!!!! Hopefully we will fine out the results be it good or bad. The suspense is killing me!!!!!

Yea. I'm working the next three nights so I will be sleeping during the day. But I can promise you I will have my phone on the pillow waiting for the call.

Haha!!! I think I'll leave my phone on the charger and stare at it all day.

With as many delays that there have been already, i would not be surprised one bit if the news doesn't come tomorrow. But, this is the actual board that we are all waiting on...not individual recruitor issues so.....maybe better/timely results.

good luck to all. I hope all get in!
