Well the paperwork and interview are finished and I'm just waiting to see if I get in. Just wanted to start this thread for others in the Nov 2011 boards and see who the competition is. Good luck to everyone.
Oh, a quick rundown on me. I'm 33 with 2 years ICU, ER, and Supervisor experience graduating with my BSN in May 2012. I'm seeking anykind of commissioning but hopefully a flight or ICU position. I'm an active individual so not really worried about the PT, just ready to get going serving my country.
Hey icurnanthony,
just responding to your original post...about who the competition was....
I am a 7 yr ED RN. I turn 33 in Dec. I, too, want flight status along with an ER duty station.
Looking for first round pick....but, i hear of alternate lists of those who don't make it due to congressional budget constraints etc....
hoping that we all make it!!!
vbbynum,
you are 100 percent right. msc applicants have to take the gmat or gre. in my case i didn’t had enough time to wait for the gre results so i ended up taking the gmat. the first time i did it without studying and paid the price because my scores where horrible. the second time i studied for a week and took a prep course that allow me to increase my scores by 110 more points. my scores are still in the 5 hundreds which is not great but each test is $250 and the prep course was another few hundreds so i couldn’t afford taking it for a third time. i just hope that the sacrifice pays off. let’s see what happens.

I do not believe everyone has to have the GMAT taken-it is only for the MSC applicants-if I am right...nurses, doctors, chaplans, lawyers, etc. did not need this for their package.
