1.a nurse here in the philippines i would like to take the

nclex-rn exam for the state of vermont could you please tell me where i could find the application of this nclex exam and what are the requirements?.

2. can i ask if the fingerprint card is still needed for the application

3. .is the state of vermont will send me the application package or they email me?please help im confused...........

It will be a few months before you get approval to sit the exam as they will need to check the application and make sure you meet their licensure. Only once you have received notice from them should you register with pearsonvue

Please visit VT's web site already provided by one of our members (post #46).

It is posted on their website that it takes 3-4 months to process it once they have received your application. They even have a way for a foreign applicant to know if they received your application as well. Count the 3-4 months processing time starting on when they posted that they received it already.

VT's website has to be one of the most user-friendly and straight up website I have seen compared to other BON websites. Almost everything is easily found on the main page. The instructions for foreign nurses (pdf file) is also quite clear.

As far as registering to Pearson-Vue, do not register yet until VT gives the approval as mentioned on their instructions.

Once you got the approval, you can then register to Pearson-Vue and then do as what is instructed on that pdf file.

Registering to Pearson-Vue is quite easy, you can check it out here: http://www.vue.com/nclex/

But do what is instructed per VT's instruction. The instructions found on Pearson-Vue's site is just a general guide.

Hi! you can download it from their website and fingerprint card is not needed in vermont. I've save the application form in my PC i'll try to send it to you just give me your email add. Goodluck.

Please take the time to read this forum especially this thread and you will find the link you need to apply to be a RN in the US. You are not applying for NCLEX application but to be a RN in the US of which NCLEX is part of the process

Be aware of retrogression and that you are looking currently at over 5 years waiting time before you will get a work visa and be able to start work in the US and even then is no longer a guarantee due to the high demand from your country.

im sory but i dont know how two go at post# 46 can u tell me how to go there?? also i have some difficulty regarding my application form in NLCEX(vermont) i have to set of form and i dont know which of it is right one thnx in advance:up::idea:

It is located on page 5 on this thread. Just click page 5 located at the end of the thread (lower right side). Click the link their and it will bring you to VT's website. Just download the application form for foreign nurses. Their is only 1 set for foreign nurses and another set for US-educated nurses. The instructions are also embedded on the application form for foreign nurses. The application form says that it is exclusively for foreign nurses so you won't miss it and there is only 1 set as mentioned.

Have altered title of this thread since it is impossible to apply directly for the NCLEX exam, you can apply for licensure only as an RN.

One reason that you are having an issue is that there is no application for the NCLEX exam, you are only going to find one for licensure as an RN. The NCLEX exam is only one step in the process and it requires permission to be able to sit for it. There is not even mention of the NCLEX exam on any of the applications.
