I just graduated from a BSN program May 7th, and got my ATT from Personvue A WEEK AFTER!!! I got my ATT much faster than I expected, and in haste I scheduled my test date for May 20th... I have been doing about 50 NCLEX questions a day since graduation and scoring an average of 65%-75% on them. After reading in many books that I should be studying for 6-8 weeks, I am starting to have second thoughts that I scheduled my test too soon!!! However, I have also been told that I should take it as soon as possible after graduation so I won't forget anything. I went through a NCLEX review, and took a NCLEX predictor exam (97% chance of passing NCLEX on first try) before graduation and I honestly felt that I was ready until now...what do you guys think?

Its all about concepts; and strategies of elimination...if you think you GOT THIS! than go for it!

If you felt confident scheduling for that date prior to reading in a book that you should wait longer, then take it. You know when you feel ready, not a book.

Good luck!

it sounds like your ready to take the test. the longer you wait, the more you'll psych yourself up for it. just keep doing what you're doing...go through questions/rationales and review your material from the review course and you should be fine. :) good luck!!

If you feel like you can do it, then more power to you! My suggestion is do a few practice runs of 75+ questions in one sitting, so you know what to expect come test day! And remember your ABC's!

Good luck! I'm sure you'll do awesome :)

I don't think so! I graduated on May1--and I have mine schedule for 6/3...I am going to start studying tomorrow. I also took a live review course, and took the ATI RN-predictor and scored a 97%! I am just pumped and ready to DO THIS!

You will be fine! Keep us posted!!!!

I took mine less than 2 weeks after graduation and passed with 75 questions. You can do it!

Taking it sooner is better than later. I can't even believe some people wait until the end of summer or whatever to take it! The only reason I could see to delay it is if you have a planned review course like Kaplan that you want to do. Otherwise, I think it's very smart to schedule it sooner like you have.

I took mine in the middle of June (about a month after graduating) and passed with 75 questions. I think if you feel okay then you will be fine. I wasn't really worried so I think that helped. Good luck!

I took mine 5 weeks after graduating only because I couldn't get it scheduled any sooner. I would have liked to have done it sooner. If you did well in school and on the practice questions, you should be fine.

Yes, with 97% chance then take it. You are lucky you didn't have to wait 2 months for an ATT like I did, and then another month for an open test day. Do it now! And go into it knowing that you are prepared and ready. The day/morning before don't study or cram any more. Just relax and be confident.

The most current research shows that people are more apt to passing on the first try the sooner they take it, so definitely go for it!
