ADN Fall 2011 Hopefuls!!!

I wanted to start a thread for those of you who have or will apply to ADN programs for the Fall 2011 semester. I have started the process but I have completed my application yet. I am nervous and super stressed. Join this thread so we can vent together. Share our journeys into nursing school.

two finals this week, one the 14th and a break!! I was invited to join my schools chapter of Phi Theta Kappa today.

As for me, I am glad that all of you are doing so well. The wait is long but so worth it. Don't get discouraged, the semester is almost over.

No major Finals this week, but my state's CNA Exam is Saturday. Wish me luck. This is the final component is my nursing school application. Once this is done I can apply for nursing school! So hopefully I can meet with a counsoler the week of December 13th to final it. I am soo ready.

But that is a busy week for me. I have a Music Final (written) on Monday and my online class final due that day also. On that Wednesday I have my Developmental Psychology Final and Music Final (listening). I am going to need lots of coffee to get through that week but it will be worth it to see if I made all A's (maybe some B's).

do any of you plan on trying to get a student nurse position at a local hospital once you are eligible? I think most require you to be in your second year..but some just require you to be enrolled in a nursing program to be a student nurse tech.

I have my eye on the hospital I would like to eventually be employed by..they offer a student nurse position every now and then...great way to get your foot in the door PLUS you get the added benefit of being on the floor more.

There is a hospital very close to me that hires nurse techs after you pass off your first semester lab skills, they have 5K/year upfront tuition assistance!!!

I have been attempting to get transcripts for a college I attended over 15 years ago, it took many months to get one copy. I requested them to be sent to the two programs I applied to, after they did not arrive I requested three copies to be sent to my home. I just got the envelope - ONE sealed transcript inside. Program A needs it right away, and is my back-up plan. Program B I have a couple months but it is the program I really want to go to. I am going to send it to the program I want the most, and hope I can get another one soon. This is not what I need just before finals. I have had nothing but trouble with transcripts the rest of my applications were perfect. I can't get the schools to call me back and I regret mentioning the classes because they will not make a difference in my acceptance. I did what they told me to, I listed all courses ever taken, I had integrity and now it may cause one application to be revoked. (sigh...) keeping my chin up something will work out eventually

That's pretty deep....

But we have to venture on. Maybe that's not the program you need to go to. Maybe its all in His plan to see if you will doubt him. Don't doubt, take it as a learning lessons. Work hard and stronger. You will be happy you did.

Finished physiology with an A today, Anatomy with a B :/ and my online drug education class with an A. I am so glad that this semester is over for me. I will have a diploma in hand sometime in the next week or so :-) My Assoc. in allied Health. YAY!!! I am going to work as many hours as I can before my children get out for christmas break and then I am gonna relax some with them :-) In the mean time I am going to be getting my nursing school app ready.

I hope everyone elses classes are going good.

:yeah:Congrats!! Those are great grades. Glad to hear someone's semester is over. Our last day of class is Dec. 16, since I am finished with my TTH class, I am finished on Wednesday. I have my CNA State Board Exam Saturday, Music Appreciation Final (written) next Monday, Developmental Psychology Final and Music Appreciation (listening) Final on next Wednesday.

Lord, Help me through!
