Hi,
I recently submitted my application to Bridgeport Hospital School of Nursing for this fall. Who is with me? I'm so excited yet nervous. I hope I get in. Anyone got and acceptance letter ye?
I worked full time as well as ran my house and raised my two girls through my LPN program as well as my RN program (and now during my BSN program). It can be done. Its not easy..and its even more difficult if you don't have support system (I thank God for my husband every day!). You also have to be very organized and know to make and follow through with what is a priority and what can wait.
If I had a choice I would have reduced my hours to the minimum or quit all together. But that wasn't an option.
My best advice, if you are in the position that you can survive if you reduce your hours or quit all together, I'd suggest that. If its not possible..all is not lost. You can work full time and go to school full time. If you do a search you'll see that there are many, many of us who have done it.
Wishing you the best as you begin your nursing school journey...its NOT easy but its so worth it.
Congrats on all of your acceptances and good luck to those who are still waiting!
I have a question! One of my coworkers got accepted to BHSON and she took her A&P course online! But on the application it strictly says online science classes do not meet the standard! Did anyone else get accepted with online science pre-reqs ???
I completely ruled out BHSON because of the fact that I took both A&Ps online !!
I'm confused!!

Online science classes usually don't transfer. However, she probably got accepted because unlike other schools BHSN only has chem and English as prerequisites . So that just means your friend is going to have to take that class over with one that has a lab before she can graduate.

Random question for those who have already been accepted, will you be still working? Full-time or Part-time?
