Accepted to NS? What was your GPA?

Published

Hi! I'm curious to know what the "average" GPA is to be accepted to nursing school. I know that it differs from school to school. Thanks! :)

4.0 gpa and a 95% on the entrance exam.

I had a 3.78 cumulative...I think as long as you have at least a 3.5 you are good to go

I was just accepted and I had a 3.5

Specializes in Infusion.

3.94 with a 4.0 in classes with points. Essay was worth 1/4-1/3 of the total points.

2.52 gpa including academic forgiveness.

thecahir1..................you go!!!.....my LPN instructor told me that the average students with c-b grades make the best nurses......she has her masters and she said she was a solid c+ student....

Specializes in None as of yet.

That's encouraging to hear! It suddenly hit me that I will never be accepted to CSU-Sacramento with my 3.3 gpa. :( I thought I was doing well surviving Organic Chem and A&P I with B's, but after looking at their admission stats, it is clear that I don't stand a chance since they place so much emphasis on the gpa with that point system of theirs. I'll now have to focus on applying elsewhere.

Specializes in Emergency Room MA.

My BFF got into a state university program with a 3.7 in science pre-reqs.
