  1. 23 started in the fall 2010
  2. The acceptance rate is very high for ASN transfers looking to get their BSN since the don't require clinical space. If you're just a regular transfer, the rate is very low. There were 5 of us at the transfer orientation last week for the Fall semester. Four sophomores and one "freshman" (myself) out of over 400 applicants. From what I've heard though, the acceptance is MUCH higher for non-transfer freshmen.
  3. Try looking at Morton Hospital. It may take a while to get in but they'll teach you the phleb and EKG during orientation. A CNA is typically the only prereq. along with some experience. You'll be drawing a lot of blood and working with EKG's all day if you get a job as a tech. It's not called ER TECH though, it's MA - Medical Assistant. ( only in the ER)...The nurse's and doctor's are great...always willing to teach those who are in Nursing school.
