Accepted FSCJ Summer 2010 Students

U.S.A. Florida

Hey everybody!

I just wanted to start a separate thread regarding our acceptance into the FSCJ (a.k.a. FCCJ) Summer 2010 "RN" program. I know we've all been posting to the "hopefuls" page but now that we aren't "hopefuls" anymore, and we're more like "stressfuls"... I thought I'd start a new page... JOIN ME! :)

I guess it is technically called something else other than "RN program" but... here we go anyway.

I'm still a bit confused as to whether, during orientation, I should be more focused on getting a hospital close to my house or a teacher that will be great during my first term.

Does anyone have any suggestions on this? I've always made the teacher my first priority but I'm curious as to whether or not, those of you who have been there, think that there is a big enough difference in teachers that we would be wise to drive for miles to get to a specific one.

I called them a few minutes ago and they still dont have my titer results.

I think they said they'll call me when its done.

Lucky girl going to Vegas!

My doctor has said they will call when my titers are in as well and I'm still waiting. I stopped by today to see if they had anything (because they were supposed to call me back yesterday) and they said that all but my MMR were in so I told them I'd come back when everything was in. I got my "passport" type photo taken yesterday at Walgreens so I think I'm good to go.

I'm planning on taking everything up to North campus tomorrow morning.

I got my titer results today so I'm going to be taking everything to north campus tomorrow as well!!

Whenever I get my titer results, I'll go to North Campus right after.

I've been to North Campus twice, but havent looked around the campus. Dont know where anything is.

Just got the email about where the orientation is gonna be and I got the orientation schedule in the mail even though i printed it out already.

Im excited :)

11 more days.

I'm excited too!:lol2: I can't wait to get started. However, I have a feeling, the first week into the first term, I'll be eating my words!:p

hehe

im not so worried about the studying and learning info since that's what we've always done in any class. i know its a lot more stuff to learn, but im more worried about the clinicals and working at the hospitals.

question about the orientation though. where do we meet?

recent email says to meet at the student life center building e room 235.

i thought with all the people, it'd be in the auditorium. i've never been to room e-235 so i dont know how big it is.

I am planning to drop my packet off at 900, then I want to find out where the workout area is.

Orientation was in the auditorium last term, but in the opposite building this term.

There is a workout area at North campus??!! Like a gym workout area or did you mean something else?

I hope you meant a gym!

I hope you meant a gym!

:lol2: Me too!

I really meant gym

I went to the one at South campus when I could. There is one at Deerwood too. There should be one at North Campus. :) I am hoping it is open at 7am. Workout before class anyone????

Does anyone know what time classes usually begin and end? Trying to get a schedule figured out for dropping my daughter off at daycare, leaving the house ,clinicals , etc. I'm one of those like to have things planned mind of people lol
