I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.

Well, I have some great news! Katie called me today and informed me that I have been accepted into the NEAT program. YAY!!!!!:yeah:So hopefully you all will be receiving some good news soon as well. I am so happy!!
Congratulations! I got the call too! Which hospital did you request? I requested both University and ECL and I was so excited I didn't ask her which one! Hopefully good news will keep coming our way!

ImGonnaKnockUOut, I requested the University and ECL as well, but I was too excited to ask as well.:DMy sis-in-law works for ECL and she loves it there, so we'll see! I really wasn't expecting to hear anything, until we received our financial aid packages, so this was a welcome surprise. When I finally got my mind off of it, the phone rang! Well anyway, I believe that the pell grants and the other scholarships that Emory gives will be enough to cover everything else, I'm so relieved.
Just so the NEAT scholars know...it doesn't matter which hospital is listed on your NEAT. You can choose either one to work for in the end. I am a NEAT scholar graduating in May and I just got my job in the Neuro ICU At EUH!!!

Congratulations! That is fantastic! Did you have to extend your commitment to work in the ICU? Could you choose which area you were interested in? I'm so happy for you! I remember reading your posts when you first started and now you are graduating in a month.
