I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.

Yes, I did get the email from Katie. I am not sure about it being posted on OPUS. I figure we'll get it in both the mail and OPUS because that is how the acceptance letter was issued.
I am in such limbo about this! I REALLY want you go to Emory, but the financial aid is really scary, I decided that I am going to take the NET on April 18th and keep my application open at Ga Baptist (Mercer). It is about 5000 less than Emory per semester:twocents: , but still a really good school. I still plan on trying my best to make it to Emory, but am more determined to get this degree done and I need to do everything I can to ensure that happens. Hope to see you all on the 20th, and good luck with Financial aid! I know I need all the luck I can get!
yeah i know how you feel about the aid! I talked to financial aid office today and she said that it will be posted on opus before May 1st! I think we will find out next week! fingers crossed! Yeah I was thinking of applying to Georgia Baptist as well but decided against it cause Emory my dream school. I feel that we all will get something because Emory is very high:up:
I have ofent thougt of doing that, but recently starterd working at CHOA and love the kids! I thnk the the ER would be wonderful though just because you would always be seeing/treating something new! Great choice!
Yes I did indeed apply for that scholarship! are you still concidering the CNA program? I would really like to keep going after getting my BSN, I just have not made my decision as to what I would like to do
We are on the same page then....I plan on getting a job, and doing my masters part time...Is there another school other than the one in Macon that has a CNA program?
