I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.

So should we assume that if we didn't get a call, we didn't get NEAT? What other financial aid options are ya'll looking into? I'm new to the forum and haven't had time to read through all the posts. I'm so nervous- I don't know what I'll do without NEAT, since my EFC is 0. I want to go to Emory more than anything!!

I know that there are pell grants out there, loans, and the merit/need based scholarships that Emory gives.
Has anyone received their financial aid packet yet? I got that email from Katie from April 3 about sending them out within the next 2 weeks. The 2 weeks time is quickly coming to an end, and I'm still waiting on the letter.
still waiting as well.. but Katie said she mailed out the Neat decision letters on the 9th! So I guess we will find out this week for sure if we got rejected!
Hi Jo Jo Girl and current students of Emory Nursing. I was wondering what type of PDA you use and does the department recommend a particular brand. Where did you get yours? Was there one that you wish you would have bought instead you what you have?
