I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.
Thanks to all who will join the group and to all who will advise us.
Really appreciated.
Hi everyone. I've been away for a while b/c I've been super busy with work and school, but I decided to log-in today... Anywho, I got the email about Class Visitation Day also, but unfortunately, I won't be able to go. So to you guys that are going: Have fun and be sure to tell us everything that happened!...On another note, I'm STILL waiting to hear from Fin Aid. Anything they give me would be helpful, but no matter what, I'm gonna find a way to go! (Emory's the only school I applied to!)...Also, I missed a call today from Katie. I wonder what that's all about? Okay well I was just checking in. I'll be sure to let everyone know if I hear anything about aid. Toodles...
Hi everyone, I will be attending the visitation day so look forward to see you all. I just spoke to a fin aid rep and she repeated the same line " you should hear something by next week." Apparently, they are still working on it.
Thing is, I was accepted at NGCSU but I had to give them a confirmation by 27th February or I lose the spot, so I lost the spot and now I am worried that the financial aid might not cover everything.

As expensive as Emory is, you would think that they would be more "on point" with this financial aid process. Odooma, you declined another program for Emory and I pray that you get the aid you need. Getting into the program was a task, but if we can't pay for it, then it was all in vain.
Hey Everyone!
I just made my final decision that I will be going to Emory in the Fall! I am so excited! I am hoping to be able to get off work to go to the new student day on the 20th. I am from out of town and have no idea where I am going to live yet, so I am hoping to maybe find some prospective roommates at the event. Do you think that maybe we could start a google group (or the school could) so that we could all find out more about each other/find roommates? Hope to see you all on April 20th!
