I have just been accepted to the Emory BSN nursing program for fall 2009 and I just wanted to know if other accepted students would like us to communicate and help each other prepare for the fall. We can discuss anything from immunization, PDA, housing to financial aid.
I would also like current student and alumni to mentor us in order to make our preparation smoother. Any advice is welcome since you've been there before from what type of stethoscope to which brand of PDA to buy.
I am a very meticulous person and would like every thing to go perfectly that is why I need all the advice that I can get so that come August, we would all be ready and prepared for the challenging two years ahead of us.

Not yet...I think we are supposed to find out either the end of this month or early May. I sure hope I get it. That will be one less thing to worry about.
I hope I get it too...have you heard of FastWeb? If you join their site, they will send you information on different scholarships available to you. I am concerned that I will only get enough aid to cover tution and not all the extra things such as books and equipment....
I joined FastWeb about 2 years ago, but I can never find anything that I qualify for. for me, if I only get enough to cover tuition I will be fine. I think with my husband and the help of my parents, I'll be able to afford the books and equipment. I am just going to miss getting refunds.
I got my stuff in on time, but my tax return didn't have my signature. So, I had to send in the signature page. I was told that wouldn't hold up my financial aid. Here is hoping.
Wonder where my email is. Well I guess it doesn't matter too much since I won't be able to attend. Hopefully we will all be ok with this financial aid stuff.
I look forward to meeting you. The wait has to end eventually. I just hope it isn't after it is too late to start my other school I got accepted to (Just in case I can't afford Emory).
