Hi hopeful Fall 2011 NYU students!
I recently submitted my application for the accelerated BNS program. I saw that other semesters had discussions and I thought it would be nice to start one for us, just to help each other out through the application process.
I looked at past ones when I was filling out my application and found them to be helpful, so hopefully it will be for us.
Love to see who all is applying and how it's going:)

Honestly, I am not sure. Maybe? If you just handed in everything this week, you will probably be getting an email in two weeks. They are pretty quick with all the application materials. When you get the email and if you need help, just blog and one of us on here will be me more than willing to help :)
Im sure youll be fine Joel as long as you get everything in before the 1st. The only thing I can think of is you might hear later but who knows. And yes you can definitely apply in the spring. If I dont get in this time thats my plan. You and I can start a "NYU Spring 2011" forum. haha I wouldnt worry. :) Did you call them?
I have a question. When you guys say you emailed to get the hs transcripts and scores taken off your checklist who did you email? The "Ask ITS" one?
Im thinking of emailing them not only because those 2 things are still on there but also because Im missing one of my JCs. Its not even listed. Makes me worried.
I had to email a lady because my supplement was not downloaded yet the common app was... I received confirmation of submission for both from common app email address....I've heard nothing from NYU and can't check status of app online yet I submitted everything around 03/15--3/20ish so I was late compared to most, I'm going for accelerated but had to choose traditional route as although I have a BA I do not have any of the science prerequisites.
I didnt know the common app even mattered. My supplement hasnt been downloaded either only my main app. Anyone elses like that? Anderson now you have me freaked out.
Its just getting so close to the close of the deadline. Every little thing is freaking me out. Ill probably call them tomorrow. Ill let everyone know how it goes.
I'm kind of in the same boat as everyone else about the freaking out (why do I only do this at night?)
I submitted my common app on Feb 28, but it says it wasn't downloaded til March 2... so on Albert it says I'm just a regular student. It also seems like they haven't checked off any of my documents on Albert, but I think I'm going to call again tomorrow just to make sure they've received the items. Has anyone still had no progress at all on their Albert account? It's been 3 weeks :/
Niffy I wouldnt worry that it says regular decision. I believe all of ours says that, (I know mine does.) I think it may just be an error in their system. Many of us have called and they said they were having problems with it this semester.
To ease everyones nerves:
I called the office today and the lady says, "We have a no news is good news policy. If you havent received an email saying were missing anything from you then you are ok." I also asked if its the same type of policy for letters of rec and she said yes. Im thinking as long as we got the initial email saying they have received our apps and as long as we dont hear anything else then we are all fine.
I cannot wait until next week. Its going to become very real when any of us start hearing from them. When we get accepted we will have to get together in NY and celebrate!! *wine
Good luck to EVERYONE Im over here in California crossing my fingers (and toes.)

EmEmJay: There was some technical issue with my application but "you-know-who" at the undergrad of nursing was wonderful and was able to help me out.
Joel: If you haven't received a confirmation e-mail from NYU then they probably haven't processed your application and it's best to call them. I only received a confirmation from the CommonApp and never received anything from NYU. After about three weeks I finally contacted "you-know-who" and asked her about it. These past few days I've been going back and forth between tech support at common app and NYU trying to sort it all out. Turns out it was a technical issue and they're actually hoping it didn't happen to any of the other applicants. So the same thing might have happened to you. Hope it works out!
