Does anyone know why ACC moved their Spring '10 admit date from 10/1 to 11/1?? I was hoping to find out today, but when I looked at their site this morning, I noticed the announcement on their homepage. I am dying to find out whether or not I'll be accepted then. We are moving out from CA to TX and need to find out as soon as possible! (otherwise, may have to defer one semester). Just wondering if this is a good or bad thing (maybe they are adding additional/new instructors and are opening up more spots?)
I requested the online program and hope I get it!! I've heard so many great things about it. Any advice for level 1?
since you are learning basic skills as well as content in level 1, you will spend alot of time in the lab learning how to do foleys, central line dressing change, etc. for example you might have lab one day then clinical the next. you have check-offs for each skill. it's great, i had tons of fun in level 1. get to know the ladies & gentlemen in your class you will be together thru the entire program so building friendships definitely helps! i am very close to many of my classmates, i can't believe that when i go to work they won't be there.. on the happy side, i think i will have buddies at nearly every facility in town
Does anyone know how long the background check will take. The Precheck website says 3 days. Is this accurate? Has anyone been given permission to register yet? Thanks for any info!
I, too am waiting to hear about the background check. I looked at the PreCheck website and it said my application was complete but I haven't been given the go ahead to register from the nursing department. Im hoping tomorrow??
Yes, sure am! Congrats to you! Where did you take Nursing Skills at? I took mine at CYP. I am getting a little nervous! I guess I just don't know what to expect...
Congrats to you as well! I also took nursing skills @ Cypress in Spring 09 on Friday mornings. I'm nervous too! Have you gotten the go ahead to register yet??
Oh ok, I took mine Wednesdays. No, no go ahead yet to register- What is the hold up?! But I don't think anyone has yet for the Hybrid. Well I look forward to meeting you at either the Jump Start thing or our orientation; My name is Amanda btw!
try your uniforms on!! you'll be wearing them tons for 4 semesters so i strongly recommend you try them on, decide what sort of top you like, etc. nothing is worse than ill fitting scrubs IMO (except perhaps ill fitting undies:lol2:)
Finally registered! I guess that means this is official now! Yikes...Yes I ordered my uniforms. I would also recommend trying them on. I went through about 3 different brands before finding a good fit for me. Anyone doing online complete the online orientation yet?
