ACC Spring 10 admittance

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Does anyone know why ACC moved their Spring '10 admit date from 10/1 to 11/1?? I was hoping to find out today, but when I looked at their site this morning, I noticed the announcement on their homepage. I am dying to find out whether or not I'll be accepted then. We are moving out from CA to TX and need to find out as soon as possible! (otherwise, may have to defer one semester). Just wondering if this is a good or bad thing (maybe they are adding additional/new instructors and are opening up more spots?)

Any info is appreciated! Thanks!

Spring '10 hopeful

I agree it's frustrating! I don't know why the delay, but it seems like it was forever ago that I applied. Obviously they have ranked everyone since they have sent out offical rankings and filled all the 1105 classes- I'm wondering also why it's taking so long LOL...

Anyway good luck, I hope you get in and have an excellent move to TX! :nuke:

Come on November 1st! I can't wait anymore!

Has everyone received their rankings??

Anyone else freaking out about Spring 2010 acceptance letters? It's the only thing I have been able to think about through out this month! Also, I heard they have added a few more spots? Could be rumor. On the downer side, a current ADN student informed me that close to 300 people applied?! I sure hope not....

Anxiously waiting over here as well! Can the month go any slower? I wonder what "after Nov 1st" actually means? Maybe the day after, it has to be soon so everyone can make adjustments to their lives. my ranking is 50, I hope that's good enough!

I'm hoping for the 2nd of the month, since the 1st is on a Sunday (wishful thinking). You never know though, since we were originally told October 1st. I have a 52.73, hope its enough! This is my second time to apply, so a third time would be such a DRAG!

Check your emails! My friend just got an email today saying she was accepted for Spring 2010!

I'm in!! Yipppeeee!

Did you get in???

:o

I didn't get in :( Bummer. It was my first time applying and was ranked a 46. Too low I guess.

Does anyone know what was the lowest ranking score admitted for Spring 10? I am hoping that a 49/50 won't be too low for the next round (Fall 2010). I hear they don't let you know until May, is that true? As we are attempting a move (with child in tow) from CA to Austin, I would love to know for sure sooner rather than later.

What have you all heard? Do you think my score will get me in for Fall??

Any info helps!

Thanks and congrats to those who did get in.

Colleen

A friend of mine ranked ranked 49.8, placed 152 and did not get in:( A friend of hers ranked 51 points and got in placing 105. They accepted 121 students for Spring 2010. This is much more competitive from when I applied for Spring 2009. I ranked 49.8 and placed 75 out of 112. I'm assuming that there must have been a lot of students reapplying.

I do think you will get in the next time around with the extra points...and finishing any coreqs will help. They do take a few months to get back to you after you apply.

Thanks Texas Rn 2 be! Do you know how many applicants there were for Spring? I ranked 240 out of ? I am not sure.

I think I will be borderline again, as my 5 additional re-application points will only get me to 50. As a career changer- with a BA already, I already have my co-reqs done. The only thing I could do is re-take the 2 courses I received lower grades in to bring up my GPA. That would be a bummer though. I think I'll take my chances for the Fall and re-take them if I have to re-apply a 3rd time which would also be a big bummer:(.

Are you already in the program? How is it going? I'd like to hear what those admitted think about the program.

Thanks!

CA 2 Austin (hopefully in Summer 2010)
