Does anyone know why ACC moved their Spring '10 admit date from 10/1 to 11/1?? I was hoping to find out today, but when I looked at their site this morning, I noticed the announcement on their homepage. I am dying to find out whether or not I'll be accepted then. We are moving out from CA to TX and need to find out as soon as possible! (otherwise, may have to defer one semester). Just wondering if this is a good or bad thing (maybe they are adding additional/new instructors and are opening up more spots?)
I am working on all the online orientation tonight, picked up my scrubs yesterday and my stethoscope showed up on the doorstep on Monday. I also got my email on Monday to register for classes, so I have gotten that out of the way. I am doing the CEC classes, found it interesting that they have them broken down in to mini-mesters. All I need to do now is get my flu shot and physical out of the way and I can go turn in my packet.
I am so excited for you guys!!! Congrats!! I just did my HESI and turned in my application on Friday. I hope to be where ya'll are at this time in August!
reef - So I am taking it that some people deferred? How long after your initial email did you get the email saying they had a spot open? I bet you were so happy!!! I searched the forum and the last one of the last posts I saw from you was one saying you didn't get in, then a few weeks later you were talking about getting your background check done but no post in between saying you got accepted!
Yes, I did get in! Whew, I am so happy. It was approx ten days after the initial reject email that they sent the accept email. I was 3 spots away from being accepted originally, which made it tough initially to deal with. I have been busy getting everything together and trying to review info from 1105. I wish everyone the best!
AWESOME!! What an emotional rollercoaster ride for you! So when they emailed you the acceptance, did they still give you an option of the Eastview, CEC, or online? Or is it just take what they have open?
I had a choice between CEC and EVC. I chose CEC and asked to be on a waiting list for Hybrid. I was told that there were so many people on the wait list that they were not taking any more names. The nursing advisor called about a week ago and asked if I wanted Hybrid...of course I said yes. I was surprised that she remembered since I didn't officially give her my name. I've heard great things about the online section and I am really looking forward to the semester.
Great!! I really want the hybrid too. I hear through the grapevine that in Fall 2010, hopefully when I start, they are using the Round Rock campus as part of the online program. Hopefully they will add a few spots too. I am trying to get my Nursing Skills as hybrid too, just waiting for my email petition to register. Has anyone received their lab packs yet? I couldn't remember when they said they will be sent out, but I feel like I ordered it forever ago! I would love to see where all that money went!
