Published

Hi everyone,

I'm making this thread to see if anyone else is applying to Umass Amherst for fall 2017 acclerated nursing program?

May 1st is the deadline for those accepted to respond. I'll be declining my spot soon because I'm going to Duke. Best of luck to you all! Now one of y'all can take my spot

No I'm patiently waiting umass is my number one choice p

Have any of you started looking for apartments yet? I live all the way out in Michigan and I have been browsing around online for apartments close to the center. I've found a few that aren't bad. I am getting an early start on the apartment hunting because I wont be in the country between June 15-July 6th. If any of you ladies have a place in mind, or would be willing to be my roommate please let me know - we could get in touch and see if something works out! Thanks.

Hi cinsim, I haven't decided yet, I'm actually still waiting to hear back from one school and waiting to hear back about financial aid awards, but maybe you can contact UMASS Amherst and ask them if they can help with roommate matching for the ABSN program, especially since you're going to be out of the country this summer?

Hello all! I decided to go to Simmons so there will be one spot opening up for someone on the waitlist.

I just emailed Jackie Montgomery and told her. Best of luck!

Hi All!

I will be applying to the ABSN for Fall of 2019, as I will be graduating next May. I was wondering if you could give me an insight into your GPA's and any experience you have. Thank you! :)

UMASS Amherst only uses your prerequisite GPA. I had a 3.85 for prereqs and 6 months of cna experience when I applied. Write a good statement that is peer edited and find a couple of great references; I used my a&p teacher and hospital employer as references. Show you are unique and have passions in things other than nursing, they want to see you as a person outside of the profession as well. Good luck and study often.

Hi everyone! I was just curious if anyone on the waitlist has since been accepted or if anyone has any updates. Thanks!

I emailed her and she said on the 15th she will be calling out and emailing

I wonder how many have declined their spot.. anxiously awaiting.

I just got the call- I was accepted off the waiting list! So excited to join the program!

Wow they are already making calls? Thought that happens on the 15th? Congrats !
