Published

Hello ALL!

I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

Has anyone else gotten interview invites? Starting to lose hope. :(

No :( I'm right there with you.

Don't lose hope! They will be conducting interviews thru mid march.

No. I submitted mine basically on the last day. They said they got a few hundred apps in the last few months so they will be taking a while.

Don't lose hope! They have ALOT of applications and basically one person who goes through them, does the interviews, and selects the people. From what I've seen of previous years people get interviews well into March so no need to worry!

Oh sorry I quoted the wrong person.

I got an email today about creating cal state online account but I never got an interview spot... They also mentioned the actual online application is not open yet.

I got the email too. Im wondering if everyone who applied gets it, even those that they are not considering interviewing. ;/

I think I read that in previous years all qualified candidates are asked to make an application account. But that's good! You are eligible!!!

I feel everyone who applied got the email though. Anyway, good luck to everyone!

I'm starting to feel like I'm losing hope as well. I received my confirmation on Jan 5th, but haven't heard anything about an interview. I did get the email about creating the Cal State account this morning, but I'm really unclear if that means anything. I'm also applying to SMC and Trade Tech as backups, but my first choice is still this program.

I'm starting to think that maybe they interviewed the people with the highest TEAS scores first. I didn't range in the 99th percentile.. but I did receive 91st percentile. From the looks of it, and what I've been trying to gather is that people with 99th percentile have already been interviewed. Just trying to justify the reason why I haven't been invited to an interview yet. Anyone else get invited to an interview and didn't receive a 99 on the TEAS? Feedback would be GREAT! Lol.

I wasn't 99th percentile and was one of the first interviewed...(I was 98th to be transparent). From my advisement appointment a year ago I gathered that your individual category percentiles matter more - she said to be competitive you needed all 4 need to be at least 90th percentile.

What were those stats like for you? Above 90 in each?

I was above 90 in math, scored 89 in science, and mid 80's for the other two categories. My cum.GPA is 3.8 and my GPA for my prereqs is roughly 3.9. I also have 235 hours in volunteer work at hospitals. Anyone else wanna share their stats? :)
