ABSN CSULA Summer 2018

I wanted to start a topic about ABSN program at CSULA for Summer 2018 and get some feedback about applying, stats, and more. I am looking to apply here and to other similar programs and I wanted feedback about your experiences.

I wasn't 99th percentile and was one of the first interviewed...(I was 98th to be transparent). From my advisement appointment a year ago I gathered that your individual category percentiles matter more - she said to be competitive you needed all 4 need to be at least 90th percentile.

What were those stats like for you? Above 90 in each?

When you say percentile are you speaking of the actual score in each category or the national percentile in each?

I believe national percentile, not actual percentage. It says percentile on the application information as well, and that's what she told me in person.

I was above 90 in math, scored 89 in science, and mid 80's for the other two categories. My cum.GPA is 3.8 and my GPA for my prereqs is roughly 3.9. I also have 235 hours in volunteer work at hospitals. Anyone else wanna share their stats? :)

Percentage or percentile? They use percentile to compare you to other people who took the TEAS.

I was in 99th percentile - all my national percentiles are 90 and above and I still have no interview. 4.0 in pre-reqs and 3.7 in prior bachelors. I don't have prior experience though..so who knows the reasoning. They obviously have something they base it off of...let's just hope our time hasn't come yet, but it is in fact coming ;)

Hi all - I have not been contacted for an interview. I submitted my packet on 1/9, got a confirmation email on 1/19 and on 2/16 got an email with instructions on how to create a Cal State Apply account. A piece of information that they are requesting upon creating the account is the CAS ID. The emailed instruction indicate that the CAS should show up on the upper right hand corner but I am not seeing this. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thank you!

My friend got a rejection email a couple weeks ago... so I don't think you guys need to worry yet, especially since you got the email to create a calstate apply account! I'm still anxiously waiting/hoping to get an interview invite too though!

@ptl14 When you log in to your account, the CAS ID will be under your name on the upper right corner next to the notification icon (the bell).

My friend got a rejection email a couple weeks ago... so I don't think you guys need to worry yet, especially since you got the email to create a calstate apply account! I'm still anxiously waiting/hoping to get an interview invite too though![

Did your friend meet all the requirements? Did they state why? Sorry for them - I know it's so hard :( hoping for the rest of us.

Thanks for your help but my name nor the CAS ID is showing up next to the bell.

I was only able to see it on the website if I accessed it on my phone. It's also in the email they send you after you create the account. The website is new and has a LOT of issues
